iPad Kiosk system by BestFit Mobile lets Harris Teeter deli customers Skip The Line
Harris Teeter is a popular grocery chain that operates in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
They are, in fact, so popular that they had a problem.
Lines for their yummy deli sandwiches, pizzas and deli items were too long. Customer were getting annoyed. Shoppers tended to all come in at once (you know, around meal times). And the counter staff, no matter how capable, just wasn’t able to work at top efficiency with their existing system.
So they came to BestFit Mobile. We worked with their existing point of sale system to integrate a free-standing kiosk system with an iPad locked inside, equipped with custom Skip The Line software. It’s solution that will work in lots of other retail situations. Mobile in retail makes sense.
Now customers use the iPad’s touch screen in the kiosk to place their order, then they’re free to go about their shopping. When they circle back to the deli counter, their order is waiting for them, thanks to their new iPad Kiosk friend!
